The strike at Moston Collieries arose from questions related to wages and conditions of employment; approximately 600 men were involved. I understand that the strike was not supported by the Lancashire and Cheshire Miners' Federation, but I am glad to say that work was resumed on Wednesday afternoon, 13th May, on the understanding that the subject of dispute would be dealt with immediately through the constitutional machinery.
