asked the Postmaster-General whether he can give any information in connection with the sub-post office robbery in Barking Road, Canning Town, West Ham; how much money was stolen in cash and stock; and what the thieves had to do to get at the iron safe?

Cash to the value of just over £300 was stolen, and stock, some of which will probably not be negotiable, to the value of nearly £1,500. The thieves had to cut through a barred window, remove the back door lock, force inner doors and cut open a safe. The police have the matter in hand.
