asked the Under-secretary of State for War whether he is aware that officers attending staff college courses have to revert to their war substantive rank, thereby losing a considerable amount of pay and allowances; and will be consider amending this regulation?

An instruction will be issued shortly authorising the retention of temporary rank, and of acting rank which has been held for not less than one month, by officers attending the junior war course at the Staff College.

Does that mean that an officer attending a staff college will maintain his temporal rank for the whole period of six months at the college?
