asked the Secretary for Mines, whether he will give comparative figures for 1939 and for the latest convenient date in the mining industry, showing absenteeism owing to sickness, accident and voluntary absenteeism; the number of shifts lost and the average output per man per shift at coalface and all other underground workers in South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, the Doncaster Amalgamated Collieries, South Wales and for the whole country; and will he state, approximately, the annual reduced production of coal for the whole country due to these causes?
