asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is satisfied that the rank and pay of officers of the Auxiliary Territorial Service engaged in recruitment and teaching duties adequately reflects the tact and ability with which they discharge them?
Tact and ability vary with the individual, but I am satisfied generally that the rank and pay of these officers are appropriate to their duties and responsibilities.
