asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in view of the necessity for conserving all foodstuffs, any steps are being taken to reduce the dog population?

Major Lloyd George:

The dog population has fallen considerably since the out break of war. The question of food consumption by dogs is being kept under constant review.
