asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware of the resentment of African and other coloured peoples in the Colonial Empire at the employment of the term "nigger" in reference to them; what representations and protests has he received on this matter; and what steps he has taken to prevent the employment of this and similar derogatory words in broadcast items and otherwise?

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer to his Question on the same subject on 12th February, 1941. No recent representations have been received on the subject.
