asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in view of the order for an increased production of potatoes and carrots, he is aware of the large accumulation of these, which merchants are reluctant to buy or remove, as they themselves have their storage places filled; and whether, as the position is at present discouraging to growers, he will consider taking over of these crops, and not leaving the responsibility for depreciation and loss entirely on the grower?
