asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in auditing accounts between his Ministry and local authorities, full use is made of the services of the district auditor or customary auditor of the local authority?
Major Lloyd George:
The answer is in the affirmative so far as county councils and local authorities in England and Wales are concerned. In Scotland and Northern Ireland similar arrangements will, I hope, be shortly completed.
