A formal notice of the amount of his post-war credit for the year 1941–42 will be sent to each taxpayer as soon as possible after the amount of the credit has been ascertained. It will be appreciated, however, that in the case of income from employments payment of the tax itself is not completed until a considerable time after the end of the year of assessment. In the meantime an explanatory leaflet is being issued with every notice of assessment which will enable the taxpayer to make a rough calculation of the amount of the credit which will become due to him.
