asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he can make any statement on his plans for making arrangements, through prewar wholesalers, for the importation of poultry and rabbits from both Eire and Northern Ireland, with a view to more regulated distribution in this country?

Major Lloyd George:

The plans in question are still under examination, and I am not in a position to make a statement at present. As soon as an announcement can be made the trade interests concerned will be informed of the new arrangements.
