Oral Answers to Questions — Trade and Commerce. – in the House of Commons on 29th May 1941.
Colonel A. Evans:
asked the President of the Board of Trade what licences have been issued for the export of waste rubber to the United States; and whether he is satisfied that the amount so shipped is surplus to the home manufacturers requirements for reclaim?
Some licences have been issued for the export of waste rubber to the United States, but it would be contrary to the public interest to disclose details of our export trade in present circumstances. The reply to the second part of the Question is in the affirmative.
