asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will consider granting permission to the manufacturers and wholesalers to distribute available stocks upon forward contracts already entered into, with a view to preventing the destruction of such stocks by enemy action?
I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of an announcement made last September, from which he will see that wholesalers whose quotas are exhausted may, subject to certain conditions, arrange for the storage of goods at retailers' premises in order to reduce the risk of air raid damage.
