asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware of the demand being made by insurance committees that provision should be made by the Government for medical treatment of dependants of men called up on active military service; whether he has considered communications from the insurance committees of both Stirling Burgh and the county of Stirling on this subject; and what action he proposes to guarantee that dependants of men on active service shall be provided with medical service as and when they require the same?

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he is taking to make provision for the medical treatment of the dependants of men called up for active service, in view of the fact that the Government has already accepted responsibility for billeted children not accompanied by their parents; and of the undesirability of leaving these people to depend for medical treatment upon the charity of doctors, or upon the Poor Law as happened in the last war?
