asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the vital importance of the development of the economic weapon to the highest level of efficiency in the prosecution of the war, he will now consider the desirability of creating a ministry for the central control and direction of all economic activities relating to the war, on the principle of the Committee of Imperial Defence?

Perhaps my hon. Friend would be good enough to await the statement which will be made on behalf of the Government in the Debate on Economic Organisation which is to take place on Thursday.
