Oral Answers to Questions — Civil Defence. – in the House of Commons at on 14 December 1939.
Sir Geoffrey Mander
, Wolverhampton East
asked the Home Secretary whether he is now able to state the nature of the recent changes made in the organisation of the Press and Censorship Department under Sir Walter Monckton; and what alterations in staff have been effected?
Sir John Anderson
, Combined Scottish Universities
No substantial changes in the organisation and staffing of the Press and Censorship Bureau have so far been made. I am still in consultation with Sir Walter Monckton on certain proposals put forward in the report to which I referred in my reply to the hon. Member on 7th December.
