Yes, Sir, I am so informed by the medical authorities.

Miss Ward:

May I have an assurance from my right hon. Friend that when a man is sent home on sick leave from hospital, his pay and allowance will follow him to his home as I gather there is dissatisfaction because men have been sent home in this way and their pay and allowances have not followed?

The hon. Lady asked me a question about accommodation, which I have answered. Perhaps she will make allowances if I do not answer her second question.

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
