asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the need for reassuring public opinion as to national efficiency after the mistakes in depart mental policies, he will appoint a Select Committee of this House to investigate the causes responsible for the errors?

Will my right hon. Friend bear in mind that public opinion would like some reassurance on some matters of policy, and could he think of some way whereby we can know why some of the difficulties have arisen?
