The numbers of warrant officers who will be promoted direct to lieutenant must depend upon the numbers of suitable officers who are recommended; the scheme will include all types of executive warrant officers; the age limits will be 25 to 36; the officers promoted will be employed in the Fleet on the normal duties of a lieutenant; further promotions will be made after the first selections.
