asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he can give the value of exports from India to Ceylon from the latest return, and what percentage of increase or decrease they represent over previous figures; and also similar figures as regards Kenya, Uganda, and Tanganyika?
Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
