asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) whether he is aware of the great anxiety felt by those members of the Pharmaceutical Society who are engaged in trade over the recommendations in the report of the Select Committee on Medicine Stamp Duties; and whether it is his intention to introduce legislation implementing the recommendations wholly or in part;

(2) what steps it is his intention to take for terminating the loss to the revenue consequent upon the avoidance of the payment of Medicine Stamp Duties which is disclosed in the report of the Select Committee on Medicine Stamp Duties?
