asked the First Commissioner of Works what reply he has given to the proposal by the Zoological Society for certain improvements on the eastern boundary of the Zoological Gardens?

I am giving favourable consideration to a proposal under which the Zoological Society would, in connection with a rebuilding scheme of part of their gardens, be allowed to have the use of some small strips of land which are at present enclosed, and of which no use can be made in connection with the park. The proposed adjustment will not involve the removal of any trees, but will involve the re-planning of the eastern entrance to the gardens. As soon as definite plans have been drawn up, I will arrange for the usual drawings to be exhibited in the tea room.
