The result of the Peace Ballot communicated to me by a deputation on this subject last week showed that out of approximately 11½ million ballot papers filled in, some 6¾ millions answered "Yes" to the question relating to military sanctions. As regards the last part of the question, the Government's policy has been explained in the speeches of Ministers. This policy remains founded upon the League of Nations, and, as I said to the deputation on Tuesday last, I was glad of the opportunity of emphasising that the Government intend to persist in the policy that they have hitherto pursued.
