I have been fortunate enough to secure the services of Lord Riverdale as chairman of the committee, and I hope to be able to complete its constitution very shortly. The committee's terms of reference will be— To review fire brigade services in England and Wales, and to advise whether any steps are needed to improve organisation and co-operation for the purpose of meeting danger from fire.
