On the advice of the Television Advisory Committee, the use of a site at the Alexandra Palace has been authorised for the projected London Television Station, and the British Broadcasting Corporation have made arrangements for the use of a portion of the Palace buildings for the station. The Baird Television Company and the Marconi-E.M.I. Television Company have been invited to tender for the supply of the necessary apparatus for the operation of their respective systems at the station. The Television Advisory Commiitee have satisfied themselves that receivers can be constructed capable of receiving both sets of transmissions without unduly complicated or expensive adjustment; and arrangements will be made for the necessary information to facilitate the designing of receivers to be made available to manufacturers by the respective companies, in the event of their tenders being accepted.
