asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the inconvenience caused in business circles in Dunfermline through the fact that letters from London are not delivered by the first morning post; and whether he will make the necessary arrangements to assure early delivery in future?
Letters from London reach Dunfermline at 6.45 a.m., just when the first delivery is starting, and their inclusion would appreciably retard this delivery. But I will see whether any improvement is possible.
Is the hon. Member not aware that this is a very longstanding grievance, and does it not suggest itself to his mind that his reply is of a. somewhat perfunctory character?
