asked the Minister of Transport whether he will consider making a reduction in the additional tax of 10 per cent. on Road Fund licences when taken out quarterly?

The issue of quarterly licences involves substantial additional work and consequent expense which it is reasonable to cover by an addition to the rate payable by those who seek this facility.

In view of the very heavy nature of these liabilities, is the hon. and gallant Member prepared to consider the issue of these licences monthly, as many of these lorries are only occasionally used?
