– in the House of Commons at on 5 March 1935.
Mr George Lansbury
, Poplar Bow and Bromley
May I ask the Lord President of the Council the business for Friday?
Mr Stanley Baldwin
, Bewdley
The business for Friday will be: Second Reading of the Cattle Industry (Emergency Provisions) Bill; Report stage of the Supplementary Estimates which were considered in Committee on the 25th February and the 1st March; Third Reading of the Post Office Telegraph (Money) Bill; and, if there is time, other Orders on the Paper.
The Second Reading is the most important stage for a Bill. It is when the main purpose of a Bill is discussed and voted on. If the Bill passes it moves on to the Committee Stage. Further information can be obtained from factsheet L1 on the UK Parliament website.
