The Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis informs me that in consequence of a number of complaints of noise in the early hours of the morning in South Bruton Mews the police have paid special attention to the mews. Enquiries show that most of the noise arises from the banging of doors, starting of engines, etc., rather than from the sounding of motor horns. Only one instance of the sounding of a motor horn in prohibited hours has come under police notice, and in that case the offender was verbally warned. The police will continue to give attention to this matter.
