Mr William Mainwaring
, Rhondda East
asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can now make a statement as to the result of the representations made to the Italian Government against the restriction placed upon the import of coal and other goods into that country?
Mr John Colville
, Midlothian and Peeblesshire Northern
I regret that at the moment I am not in a position to add to the information which was given to the hon. Member on 25th February. The whole matter is being actively pursued with the Italian Government and a further statement will be made as soon as it is possible to do so.
