asked the First Commissioner of Works what gifts have been made to the Royal parks during the past year?

I am circulating in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of gifts to the Royal parks since November, 1933. They include birds from Colonel Maxwell Earle and Mr. J. C. Laidlay; birds' eggs from Viscountess Byng of Vimy; bulbs and plants from the Horticultural Trades Association, the Rose Growers' Association, Messrs. R. H. Bath, Limited, Messrs. Dicksons and Company, and the Bermuda Department of Agriculture; and other gifts from the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough Association, Mr. H. E. Seligman, and Messrs. John Pinches. It always gives me great pleasure to receive such gifts, and I am very grateful for this opportunity of expressing my thanks to the doners.

Would my right hon. Friend accept gifts of penny seats?

• Colonel Maxwell Earle—1 Chinese Gander.
• Mr. J. C. Laidlay—1 Pair of American Widgeon.
• The Viscountess Byng of Vimy—Mandarin and Caroline duck eggs from which nine birds have been raised.

Bulbs and Plants:

• The Horticultural Trades Association—1,650 trees and shrubs.
• The Rose Growers' Association—1,631 roses.
• Messrs. R. H. Bath, Limited—20,000 daffodils.
• Messrs. Dicksons and Company—200 Hazel Alexander Roses.
• Burmuda, Department, of Agriculture—300 Lilium Harrisii.

Miscellaneous:

• Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough Association—1 dog trough placed in the Green Park; 1 dog trough placed in Kensington Gardens.
• Mr. H. E. Seligman—1 rocking horse for the children's playground in Regent's Park.
• Messrs. John Pinches—Special metal labels for roses.
