My hon. Friend may rest assured that when the financial situation admits of a review of the steps taken in September, 1931, the claims of all the classes affected will be fully and carefully considered in the light of all the relevant circumstances.

May I ask whether the same consideration will be given to the cuts made in the salary of Members of Parliament?
