asked the Secretary for Mines whether the attention of his Department has been called to a case of overtime being worked on 17th May, 1933, at the Mains Colliery, Messrs. Cross, Tetley, and Company, Limited, Banfurlong, near Wigan; and whether it is his intention to institute proceedings in this case?
The attention of the divisional inspector was called to this case on 9th June. He has since investigated the matter and the owners claim for exemption under Section 1 (2) of the Coal Mines Regulation Act, 1908. A full report from the divisional inspector reached me this morning and will be considered.
