asked the Home Secretary if he can supply any statistics which show by verdicts given in coroners' courts in the British Isles the number of suicides caused by starvation?

The returns supplied to the Home Office by coroners in England and Wales classify verdicts of suicide only under the two categories "felo de se" and "other cases," and do not distinguish them further by reference to the circumstances in which the suicide occurred.
