Mr. STUART:

8.

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether the tea supplied to the Royal Navy is wholly pro- duced within the Empire; and, if not, whether he will ensure that only British Empire tea is purchased in future in order to support the Government's Buy British campaign?

The FIRST LORD of the ADMIRALTY (Sir Bolton Eyres Monsell):

The tea purchased for the Royal Navy has been all of Indian and Ceylon origin. The second part of the question does not therefore arise.

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether, seeing that on an average during the last 10 years only one admiral of the Fleet has been employed, he will, in the interests of economy, cease to fill up vacancies in this rank as they occur until the establishment has been reduced to three?

Sir B. EYRES MONSELL:

That is my intention.
