Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to extend by three years the period during which the powers of the Commissioners appointed under the Educational Endowments (Scotland) Act, 1928, may be exercised, and for purposes incidental to such extension, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of such sums as may be necessary to remunerate the Assistant Commissioners and the Secretary and other officers of the Commissioners and to defray the expenses incurred by the Commissioners during the aforesaid extended period."—[King's Recommendation signified.]—[Sir A.
