asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether British ratification of the 1931 Narcotics Limitation Convention has yet been decided upon; and, if not, when is a decision regarding ratification likely to be made?

I am informed that legislation amending the Dangerous Drugs Acts in certain respects will be necessary before the Convention for the Limitation of the Manufacture of Narcotic Drugs can be ratified. The matter is under consideration.
