asked the Secretary of State for India if he will give the date on which the Indian Military College Committee, set up on the recommendation of the defence sub-committee of the India Round Table Conference, presented its report to the Government of India; and when it is expected that the views of the Committee will he published?

The report was signed on 15th July. I hope it will he published in both countries by the end of this week.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
