The Forestry Commissioners have established 235 forest workers' holdings in Scotland to date on land acquired by them, the total acreage of such holdings being 1,081 and the average acreage 4½ and rental £11. The rents of the holdings have not been fixed by the court and the holders are not registered, the reason being that the tenancies are subject to service and employment. They continue by tacit relocation from month to month and may be terminated by either party on a month's notice.
