Oral Answers to Questions — Coal Industry. – in the House of Commons on 10th March 1931.
Alert me about debates like this
asked the Secretary for Mines if there has been an increase or decrease of employment in the mining industry during the months of January and February, 1931, and the amount of such increase or decrease?
I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. and gallant Member for Midlothian (Major Colville) on 4th March.
Is the hon. Gentleman aware that there is a growing feeling in the country on this subject, and
that very many men are being denied employment on account of the operation of the quota?
I have already informed the hon. and gallant Member that he is entirely mistaken as to the facts.
