asked the Lord Privy Seal whether he has sanctioned any works in connection with a scheme of land colonisation in Great Britain?
Mr. THOMAS:
I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to the right hon. Member on the 5th November.
The right hon. Gentleman will not forget this matter. Does he remember that the First Commissioner of Works has a great scheme of this kind and came down to my constituency and described it at great length?
Mr. THOMAS:
I am quite sure that the educational value of a speech from my right hon. Friend the First Commissioner of Works would be much appreciated in the right hon. Gentleman's constituency.
May I ask whether it is not the fact that private landlordism is hanging up all these schemes?
