Gentleman state whether the reason for accepting the invitation was in order to give an air of international respectability to the dictatorship of General Primo de Rivera, and, further, may I ask whether the next meeting of the Council of the League will be held at Rome? Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
