asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what Colonial dependencies in East and West Africa are sending representatives to the Pan-African Veterinary and Agricultural Research Conference to be held in South Africa this summer; and whether any experts are being sent from England to this Conference on behalf of the Government or the Empire Marketing Board?

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
