Claims in respect of damage to property in and around Constantinople have not been classified separately; but an amount of £626,869 has been paid, in accordance with the recommendations of the Royal Commission presided over by Lord Sumner, in respect of loss of or damage to the property of British nationals in Turkish territory generally.
