asked the Prime Minister if the statement made by the Solicitor-General at the Central Hall, Westminster, on 30th January, 1924, represents the views of His Majesty's Government, namely, that the time is now ripe for a redistribution of wealth; and, if the answer is in the affirmative, whether the Government propose to pass legislation to effect this object?

I understand that the quotation from my learned Friend is taken from its context, and does not give an accurate impression of his statement. As regards the question itself, I should have thought it was the aim of all political parties to effect by means of social legislation a more equitable distribution of wealth.
