asked the President of the Board of Education whether he is aware that the late Government ceased last year to provide State scholarships for students coming from State-aided schools to the university; and whether he will he prepared to renew them?

I propose to renew the State scholarships for students from State-aided schools to the same extent as formerly. I hope to address a communication very shortly to the schools and the examining bodies with reference to the award of scholarships in the coming financial year.
