asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his Department is preparing any evidence for the Imperial Conference in reference to the extension of Imperial Preference on imported foodstuffs?

It is the duty of the Board of Trade and of other Departments concerned to furnish Ministers with information with regard to matters which will come before the Imperial Economic Conference. These matters, as has already been stated by the Prime Minister in reply to a question in this House, will include Preference.
