asked the Under Secretary of State for India whether, considering that the final recommendations of the Government of India have now been received, and that more than two years have elapsed since the question was first raised, he can state what decision has been arrived at on the question of the application to the Indian Army of the Royal Warrant of August, 1920, regarding the adjustment of the pay of retired officers of the Indian Army retained in the Army during the War beyond the date on which they became eligible for retirement?

Is it in the power of the Government of India to delay the application of a Royal Warrant for more than two years?
