No, Sir. I am not prepared to adopt the hon. Member's suggestion.
Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the present Secretary for Scotland was once responsible for a Home Rule Bill in this House? Did the Noble Lord make it a condition of joining the Government that that would be the policy of the Government?
I dare say that, like many hon. Members, he has been responsible for many things in the past with which he does not agree now.
