Alert me about debates like this
asked the Prime Minister if he will state what is the attitude of the Government towards the proposal that Germany should be invited to become a member of the Council of the League of Nations?
I can add nothing to the statement made in the House on 26th June last.
Does the Prime Minister remember that on that occasion he made no statement about admission to the Council—to the Assembly, yes, but to the Council, no? May I now ask about the Council?
We should certainly have supported the application.
